Whittier Prince William Sound Explorer Program

The program consists of four instructor-led small group learning sessions. Students collect ice, water and plankton samples while visiting the face of the tidewater Blackstone Glacier.

Topics for the sessions include:

• glaciers
• geology
• weather
• navigation
• history of the sub-arctic region

Length of Trip: 5 hours

Recommended ages: Grades 3rd through 12th
