Wildlife and glacier tours with Prince William Sound Cruises & Tours are conveniently based out of Whittier, Alaska, an old military port that provided one of the few ice-free ports in south central Alaska. On your way from nearby Anchorage, Alaska, you can enjoy the marvelous scenery along Turnagain Arm and through Alaska’s longest tunnel as part of your Alaska vacation - drive yourself, relax in a comfortable coach or ride the rail with the Alaska Railroad. Whittier, Alaska, is just a short trip from Anchorage, approximately 1.25 hours from Anchorage. Prince William Sound Cruises & Tours offers vacation packages that include complete roundtrip transportation to Anchorage. If you choose to drive yourself, you will need to plan around the Whittier tunnel schedule and pay applicable tunnel fees.
