Schools and Educators
Marine science tours, in May or September, teach students about our marine environment and weather conditions.
Inspiration and Appreciation
Our goal is to inspire an understanding and appreciation of these unique marine environments while studying Western Prince William Sound and Resurrection Bay.
We strive to engage students from the moment they get on board our vessel and to spur an interest in the sciences.
The Creation of the Program
With some extra equipment, a bit of creativity, and a lot of hard work the m/v Fjordland was transformed from a sightseeing vessel into a floating laboratory/classroom. Passengers now become active observers and explorers, inquiring into what makes Prince William Sound and Resurrection Bay unique places.
