03/17/2005 - Spring Gray Whale Watch ToursKenai Fjords Tours, Alaska’s #1 Wildlife & Glacier Cruise, begins their annual gray whale watch cruises on March 19, 2005. Cruises will run daily, weather permitting, until May 6, 2005. The gray whale watch cruises depart Seward at 12:00 p.m. and return at 4:00 p.m. Transportation from Anchorage departs at 8:30 a.m. and from Seward at 4:30 p.m., returning to Anchorage at 7:30 pm.Each year, 20,000 gray whales migrate over 5,000 miles from Baja, Mexico to Alaska’s Bering Sea. Kenai Fjords Tours’ custom sightseeing vessels offer large oversized windows and heated indoor seating, in addition to outside viewing decks that are perfect for photographing whales passing through Resurrection Bay.
